The wedding took place on the
26 April 1923 at Westminister Abbey, London
The wedding dress was made
from deep ivory chiffon moiré, embroidered with pearls and a silver
thread. The dress was designed by Madame
Handley.
A strip of Brussels lace was
sowing into the dress, it was a Strathmore family heirloom.
Details of the design of the
wedding dress was revealed to the public before the wedding.
The groom wore RAF full dress
of his senior service rank of group captain.
